MODULAR HOUSE EXTENSIONS FROM DURABASE
Discover a new way to extend your home with our modular house extensions from Durabase – a fast and efficient system that changes the way that ground floor single storey home extensions are built. With the only foundations required being a number of concrete pads or ground screws placed at strategic points around the base, this means far less excavation work is required and less waste material to dispose of compared to other methods.
The prefabricated steel frames and real brick modular walls of our modular house extensions reduce the time that is needed on site. Each Durabase steel frame extension is made to order, a completely bespoke design so that you can tailor the layout to suit your personal style and home.
With over 40 years of experience in the industry, Durabase knows the best solutions for homeowners. Our modular house extensions will change your way of life, giving you the extra space your family needs.

BENEFITS OF MODULAR HOUSE EXTENSIONS
FASTER
While there is no such thing as an instant home extension, we, as a company, want to increase significantly the speed in which these steel frame extensions can be made.
Modular house extensions are a great solution to this problem. Being manufactured off site and being delivered in kit form ready to be assembled on site the Durabase modular base and Durawall system greatly speeds up the build time of a ground floor single storey home extension.
CLEANER
Durabase modular house extensions are prefabricated off-site, so you will not have to worry about the mess of a typical build.
As the only foundations required by the Durabase system are a number of concrete pads or ground screws placed at strategic points around the base, it means far less excavation work and waste material to dispose of compared with other methods.
CHEAPER
Durabase modular home extensions dramatically reduce the costs that are associated with extending properties.
With no large footings to be dug out, the use of expensive machinery and skips is often greatly reduced or not required at all. Having been manufactured off site and delivered in kit form ready to be assembled on site, the Durabase system ensures a faster fitting compared with a traditional build.
HOW DOES DURABASE WORK?
QUALITY
Quality is at the heart of everything we do. From our purpose-built manufacturing facility in Hereford, we fabricate the Durabase base and Durawall modular wall system with precision and consistency. Before leaving us, the Durabase is fully assembled in the factory to ensure everything is in working order.
The Durabase arrives in individual lengths and the modular walls come in small sections pre-bricked and ready to assemble on site. If you would like more information on our products, please do not hesitate to send us a message.

DURABASE MODULAR HOUSE EXTENSIONS VS. TRADITIONAL HOME EXTENSIONS
DURABASE MODULAR SYSTEM
FASTER SYSTEM
Our modular house extensions are a much faster system than traditional builds. As they are prefabricated off-site and delivered in kit form ready to be assembled on site and with no large footings to be dug out the Durabase modular base and Durawall system greatly speeds up the build time of a ground floor single storey home extension.
EASY
Durabase modular house extensions are incredibly easy to fit, this means that they are suitable to be installed by either a professional or, if you’re confident with building or an experienced DIYer, you should have no difficulty installing a Durabase system yourself.
Our step-by-step instructions allow you to break the job down into manageable stages. As the Durabase arrives in individual lengths and the modular walls come in small sections pre-bricked and ready to assemble, it makes our system perfect for sites with limited access.
CHEAPER
Modular house extensions are incredibly cost-effective and will significantly reduce the cost of installing a ground floor single storey home extension. The use of expensive plant machinery and skips is often greatly reduced or not required at all. Potentially avoid the need for expensive relocating of manholes and drains.
TRADITIONAL HOME EXTENSIONS
SLOWER SYSTEM
Unlike modular room extensions, you won’t see a fast turn around. This is because with brickwork you have to wait for the cement to dry which can take days, especially if it has been raining. The work can often be delayed due to the weather too. Building from scratch on-site is overall a much slower and outdated system.
HARD
The downfall of a wet system is that you require professional bricklayers to ensure that the new structure is built correctly. Prefabricated modular house extensions removes the need for this making the installation quick, easy and simple.
EXPENSIVE
Wet systems need a lot more workforce to ensure a perfect installation. Our modular house extensions completely remove the need for excessive amounts of workforce to be on-site. By opting for a traditional system, you will be spending far more money. Not only this, but you will be waiting a long time for the installation to be finished.
